The modern Canon printers have a number of pages per cartridge. Like other manufacturers, Canon has adopted the place or predetermine each cartridge to print depending on their ability, when it reaches the limit an error saying that the cartridge is completely empty and needs to be replaced.

But this cartridge does not work anymore, even if charged, we must do the procedure below, as I said before an error indicating that the ink cartridges are completely empty and need replacing appears.
This is where we must press down and let at least 7 seconds, the stop / reset button as shown in the picture above to the left of the black button.
The printer starts making a process like printing and when we let it finish its process, then disappear the error and can print again. It may be necessary to make the process again after printing the same number of pages printed so far is about 240 pages.
