Fix problem "option was not completed 0x00000015 error" while scanning

The error "option was not completed 0x00000015' appears while trying to scan documents using Windows 7 Operating System and the scanner's driver are not compatible with the operating system in use.

This is not viruses or malicious files that corrupted the computer, this error cannot be deleted by using the antivirus. The solution to eliminating this error is to uninstall and install your operating system, but this is not an easy and cheap thing to do.

We will show you how to reset the computer to eliminate this error, first, you will need to save all files and then install them back. You can do it by following the steps from the Windows Tasks Manager.

The Windows Task Manager can be open by clicking on Ctrl + Alt + Delete keys that indicates what are the processes and programs that are currently running on the computer. The Task Manager is used to view the underway process and at the same time cancel it if it needed. You can also access the Task Manager by right-clicking the taskbar and Task Manager.

Now to remove the 0x00000015 error, you will need to go to the Task Manager, you can accomplish this by clicking on Ctrl + Alt + Delete buttons as mentioned above. When this Task Manager window is open click on Services.

As we can see in the image above at the bottom right corner Service, click on service and it will open a new pop up Windows. Close the Task Manager and double-click on the option Shell Hardware Detection Service. See Image below

A new Window stating "Properties Shell Hardware Detection (Local Computer)" will pop up, it is normal that this new window appears on the General Option. If no, click on generally then select startup type appears the autostart, then service status and click start.

Click on the Services Window and double-click on Remote Procedure Call (RPC), a Window will appear as properties Detection Shell (Local Computer), do the same procedure as mentioned above, click on generally followed by selecting startup, type automatic startup, service status and click start. view image...

The final step is to go into service Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) and do the same procedure as in other services. Finally, click on accept and voila everything is working perfectly if you have correctly followed the steps. See image below
