When needing to reset the levels of ink in CP 1160 Series printers, the following procedure must be performed.

Procedure to reset the level of ink in D and CP1160 series printers
- The first step is to press the four keys simultaneously. Among these four keys, there is the one that indicates LEFT "<"and the one indicating RIGHT ">", as well as the keys with the "+" and the "-" symbol. Then release the four keys at the same time and in the printer screen the date should be shown. It is necessary the date to be displayed, if it is not so, the procedure is not being followed properly and must be done again from the start.
- Now, in the keyboard, press the following numbers in the same order shown here "7, 8, 9" for black ink and "4,5,6" for the tri color ink cartridge. Follow this procedure as it is presented here. When talking about 4, 5, 6 for tri color cartridge, it means those are the numbers when performing the resetting process for the tricolor cartridge.
- A message indicating if what is wanted is to replace the level of ink will be shown. Press 1 for "Yes"
- After this process, the level of ink will be in zero.
When needing to reset the levels of ink in CP 1160 Series printers, the following procedure must be performed.
- Press and keep pressed the ON/OFF button while also pressing 12 times the CANCEL button of the printer.
- Press and keep pressed the ON/OFF button while also pressing 12 times the CANCEL button of the printer.
- Then press the RESET button once to reestablish the black ink cartridge or three times to reestablish the tri color ink cartridge.
- Release the ON/OFF button and the printer will reset the ink cartridge selected. In case the results are not good, please leave a comment.
