Step #1:
First of all, make sure your printer is ON and connected to your computer at all time during this procedure. The computer must also be ON and fully functional at this point.
Step #2:
Press the MENU/SET, MONO/STAR, and MENU/SET buttons in this particular order. After this has been done, please wait for about five (5) seconds.
Step #3:
The MAINTENANCE 10 option will appear on your screen, and the FAX and COPY buttons will turn green.
Step #4:
Press the navigation keys upwards and select the MAINTENANCE 80 option on the MENU. Then, press the MONO/STAR button again, and then hit the MENU/SET ONE
Step #5:
Browse until you have reached the purge option, it will have a number on it but do not pay attention to it.
Step #6:
Once the purge is going on, type in the code 2783. You will hear a short beeping sound and the counter will be set back to zero (0).
Step #7:
Press the STOP/EXIT button to confirm.
Step #8:
Finally, disconnect the printer’s power cable for five (5) seconds.
