This post will teach you how to restore your HP deskjet 2050 printer back to its original factory settings in five easy steps.
The HP Deskjet 2050 printer has some of the best features found in domestic printers, this multifunction printer will allow you to scan, print and make copies. The only disadvantage of this particular model is the low page yield of their ink cartridges. This HP Deskjet 2050 works with the HP 122 ink cartridges which quickly runs out of ink after a few impressions and these cartridges are difficult to refill.

However, you will always need to restore the printer after refilling the ink cartridges for a couple of times, or if you have simply used them for a very long time; restoring the printer will help the ink cartridge performance.
It is important to restore the printer to the original factory settings to eliminate most errors. Sometimes, after the restoration process, your computer could think a new printer is being installed. Therefore, you must name the printer with the previous name before the restoration and add "copy 1" after the name.
Disconnect the printer USB cable, you must leave the power cord plugged in. Check the picture below.
Step #2:
Then, make sure your printer is turned on, and then press both the copy and the cancel buttons simultaneously. Please take a look at the following picture, and remember to leave your printer on until we say the contrary.
Step #3:
While keeping the cancel and color copy buttons pressed down, disconnect the printer’s power cord and plug it back to it almost immediately. Please take a look at the following printer to locate this power cable on your HP printer.
Step #4:
You will notice the printer will try to work, but it will turn itself OFF suddenly. After this has happened, you’ll be able to release both the cancel and the color copy buttons you were pressing. The previous pictures will show you what these look like.
Step #5:
Once this process has been done, try turning your printer on by pressing the ON/OFF button, as you would normally do. The printer should now be fully restored.
