Be very careful when removing this particular plug to avoid pushing the iron ball inside the ink cartridge (check the above picture).
Step #2:
Pay close attention to this step#2 there are two different ways of injecting ink into your HP 15 black ink cartridge: one is pushing the iron ball into the cartridge, and the other is injecting the ink right next to it.
If you choose to go with the first method, you will need to buy a spark plug for this iron ball. If, on the contrary, you go with the second method, don’t push the needle in too hard in order to avoid damaging the iron ball or the silicone around it. We recommend the second procedure because it is not easy to find the spark plugs.
Step #3:
No matter what method you chose, please inject the ink very slowly and make sure to only insert the peak of the needle. Only inject 10 ml of ink into this cartridge and do not push the needle into the cartridge to avoid damaging it.
Step #4:
After you’ve introduced the 10 ml into the ink cartridge, remove the syringe and from the ink cartridge, try to put all the ink inside the cartridge, then you will need to refill the ink with 10 ml of air using the same syringe.
Step #5:
After completing this process put the plug back in the printer if you have pushed the iron ball in using the spark plug.
If you have chosen to inject the ink using the space right next to the small iron ball, please check if there is any ink leaking from this spot by putting the ink cartridge with head downward. However, if the cartridge releases more ink than usual, use the syringe to remove some air out of the cartridge.
