After doing more research, we have found that a small sensor caused this error, this sensor is placed on the left side of the mechanism that makes the ink cartridges move from one side to another.
Clean the HP Officejet 6500 printer's sensor that does not recognize the ink cartridges. Press the On/Off button on the front side of the panel.
Step #2:
Open the gate leading to the ink cartridges this will simply raise everything, the scanner included, to take a good look at the ink cartridges. Wait for them to reach the center of the printer and leaving the left side free.
Step #3:
Locate the sensor on the lower-left side of the ink cartridges; it will look like a small square. You must clean this section very carefully using a small piece of fabric to get the printer to recognize the ink cartridges.
Step #4:
Close your HP Officejet 6500 printer’s door and wait for the ink cartridges to get back to their proper spot, you can now print a test page.
