When you stop using your printer and store it for a little while the P02 error message might appear when you start using it back, you can read the Canon codes error by clicking on the Ctrl+F shortcut to search the entire entry.
We are going to focus on the P02 error in this post, the P02 error message appears when the part of the printer transporting the cartridge carriage from the right to the left is blocked by a piece of sherd paper, paper clips, plastic or some broken part.
Also, the lack of lubricant and cleaning of the main axis could block the cartridge transportation.
However, if you have installed a Continuous Ink System on the printer, probably the hoses are not correctly connected and caused this error to appears: they could block the carriage, or not allowing it to reach the opposite side.
If you check and it is the case, it really simple to eliminate this error, you will have to adjust the hoses' length to allow the carriage to move from side to side.
Please double-check and make sure you have removed any objects susceptible to obstruct the cartridge carriage direction.
